Leadership Transition at MinKwon Center for Community Action
Dear Friends of MinKwon,
We are writing to share important news about a leadership transition at the MinKwon Center for Community Action. John Park has resigned from his position as Executive Director, effective November 7, 2025.
John has served MinKwon since 2017, during which time the organization expanded its programs and strengthened its presence in immigrant and Asian American communities. We are grateful for his years of service and his commitment to advancing MinKwon’s mission.
To ensure stability, Deputy Executive Director Yoon Ji Kim has been working closely with John during this transition period. Effective November 8, 2025, Yoon Ji will assume the role of Interim Executive Director. Yoon Ji has been part of MinKwon for over a decade, providing leadership in advocacy, program management, and organizational development. Her deep experience and dedication to immigrant justice uniquely position her to guide MinKwon through this transition and into its next chapter.
Looking ahead, the Board of Directors will begin a formal search for MinKwon’s next permanent Executive Director. Our goal is to identify a leader who will build upon the organization’s strong foundation and continue advancing justice and equity alongside our communities.
We deeply value the trust and support of our funders, allies, elected officials, and community members during this important time. With your continued partnership, we are confident that MinKwon will remain strong and continue to grow in service to the community we are proud to stand with.
With gratitude,
Yu Soung Mun
President, Board of Directors
