Rooted in Community—
Celebrating MinKwon Center's 41st Anniversary
Dear Friends,
This year, the MinKwon Center for Community Action will celebrate its 41-year anniversary gala Rooted In Community. In celebration of our past, present, and future, we invite you to partner with us for our 41st Anniversary Gala, which will take place on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 6pm at The Riverside Church in Morningside Heights. Our 41st Year celebration provides a moment to reflect on our collective journey — the challenges we've faced, the victories we've won, and the work that lies ahead. It’s also a time to recommit ourselves to serving and empowering our community, especially in times of uncertainty.
Together we build America’s future.
This year’s 2025 Standing Up For Justice honorees are UndocuBlack Network; the New Jersey Alliance for Immigrant Justice; and last but not least Inhe Choi, founder and Executive Director of the Organizing Research Institute (ORI) based in Chicago. Join us as we celebrate and honor the amazing leadership and impact of these individuals and organizations.
MinKwon’s 41st Anniversary Gala will bring together over 200 attendees. With your support, MinKwon can continue to provide our community members with free-of-cost services and programming, in addition to advocacy and organizing efforts throughout the New York Metropolitan area. As a sponsor, you will help us (1) advocate for those who fall through the gaps in our society, (2) provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services, (3) strengthen MinKwon’s infrastructure and grow as an organization, and (4) dream big about our future.
We invite you to join us in cultivating a culture of community action with a sponsorship that helps enrich our community. For any inquiries, please write to gala@minkwon.org or call (718) 460-5600 x316.
Thank you for your time, consideration, and spirit of giving.
In Solidarity,
Chul Pak, Gala Chair
Yu Soung Mun, President
John Park, Executive Director
