Founded in October 2023, MK Space is a non-profit organization and alternative exhibition space under the MinKwon Center, located in Palisades Park, New Jersey. MK Space aims to support vulnerable communities through cultural and artistic initiatives in collaboration with members of immigrant communities.
MK Space not only fosters the growth of local art but also embodies and practices the spirit of unity and recovery in the aftermath of the pandemic, promoting community service and sharing through the arts.
Since its inception, MK Space has hosted exhibitions featuring 136 participants as of 2024, with the proceeds used to support local homeless shelters. It strives to present the diversity of art to its visitors, fostering social interaction and creative dialogue through active participation.
Looking ahead, MK Space is committed to expanding its efforts to support not only the homeless population but also to support disabled artists. By providing exhibition platforms and resources to artists in vulnerable situations, MK Space aims to actively support their growth and success.
